NFL Player Marcellus Wiley Faces Second Rape Allegation in Lawsuit

Former NFL player Marcellus Wiley, who is married to ex-Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Annemarie Wiley, is facing a second rape allegation.

The lawsuit, recently filed by an anonymous woman, accuses Wiley of sexual assault at Columbia University in 1994 when he was a student-athlete.

According to court documents obtained by People, the woman alleges that Wiley invited her to his dorm room and quickly initiated discussions about sex. She claims that despite her repeated refusals, Wiley “became angry and threatened” her. The lawsuit states that he then “swung plaintiff’s legs on the bed, lunged towards her, and overpowered” her.

The woman further alleges that Wiley held her down, removed her clothing, and whispered in her ear throughout the assault, instructing her to “relax, enjoy it, stop crying, and stop fighting the feeling.”

Institutional Failure to Act

Following the alleged incident, the woman states that she attempted to report the assault to a school administrator but was met with resistance. She claims she was told that filing a report anonymously was not possible and was warned that she “would be known as the girl who destroyed a Black man’s NFL dream.” The lawsuit seeks punitive damages from both Columbia University and Wiley.

This is not the first time Wiley has faced such accusations. In 2023, another woman alleged that Wiley raped her in her dorm room while they were classmates at Columbia. Wiley has denied the previous allegations.

Wiley’s Response and Legal Proceedings

Wiley has not yet publicly responded to the latest lawsuit.

Columbia University has also declined to comment, citing ongoing litigation.

Legal experts suggest that the outcome may hinge on patterns of behavior, institutional response, and the credibility of witness testimony.
