Woman Accused of Stealing Expensive Jewelry in Las Vegas Hotel ‘Trick Roll’

A woman has been accused of stealing a Rolex watch and a gold necklace from a guest at the Bellagio Las Vegas hotel during a so-called “trick roll” incident, according to police reports.

The alleged theft occurred on July 26, 2022, but the suspect, Maiah Meleschi, was not arrested until July 3, 2024, after a warrant was issued for her arrest.

The victim, a visitor to Las Vegas, reported that he was playing Blackjack in the Bellagio casino around 5 a.m. when he was approached by Meleschi.

The two went to the man’s hotel room for a prostitution-related date, for which the man paid $1,000.

According to court documents, the man fell asleep and awoke around noon to discover his $85,000 Rolex watch, a $30,000 gold necklace, and $3,000 in cash missing from his room.

Police Investigation

Surveillance footage reviewed by police showed the two meeting in the casino and walking to the hotel elevators together.

Additional video evidence captured Meleschi leaving the casino wearing a large gold chain and a watch.

Police were able to trace the gold necklace to a pawn shop where Meleschi allegedly sold it for $11,600. There was no mention of the Rolex watch or the cash being recovered in the arrest report.

Criminal Charges

Maiah Meleschi, who has prior arrests for prostitution and trespassing, faces multiple charges, including:

  • Grand Larceny
  • Two counts of Burglary
  • Possessing Stolen Property

She is currently booked in the Clark County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in court on August 8.
