Chyvette Valentine, a former romantic partner of basketball legend Scottie Pippen, has initiated legal action against him, his brother Carl Pippen, and his ex-wife Larsa Pippen, alleging harassment and stalking.
The lawsuit, filed in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, seeks a staggering $250 million in damages.
According to reports by the Daily Mail, Valentine asserts in court documents that the actions of Scottie, Carl, and Larsa have inflicted considerable suffering upon her.
The legal complaint states that Valentine dated Scottie intermittently from 1987 to 1993, and their relationship purportedly ended after she was allegedly sexually assaulted by Scottie and Carl in 2011.
Valentine further claims that the alleged assault resulted in the birth of her deceased son, Devonte Pippen, who passed away in 2011.
She alleges that Scottie, leveraging his celebrity status, engaged in a pattern of stalking, harassment, and emotional torment, causing her severe mental and emotional distress.
In the court documents, Valentine asserts that her attempts to seek justice through law enforcement were thwarted, alleging that Scottie manipulated the authorities into believing she was mentally unstable.
Additionally, she alleges unawareness of Scottie’s marriage to Karen McCollum from 1988 to 1990.
The legal dispute is set to unfold in court on May 2, 2024.
