JetBlue Pilot Arrested Minutes Before Take Off on Child Sex Crime Warrant

Jeremy Gudorf

A JetBlue pilot was arrested at Boston Logan International Airport on a child sex crime warrant just before he was scheduled to fly from Boston to Paris.

The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Jeremy Gudorf, was taken into custody after customs officers flagged the outstanding warrant during a routine flight crew check.

The warrant for Gudorf’s arrest was issued in Huntersville, North Carolina, though specific details about the alleged crime remain undisclosed.

Prosecutors noted that Gudorf resides in Ohio and sought to have him held without bail, citing concerns about his ability to leave the country.

During a court hearing, the judge ruled that Gudorf could keep his passport but set his bail at $10,000. He is required to return to North Carolina by February 25 to face the charges.

JetBlue’s Response

JetBlue confirmed Gudorf’s arrest and stated that he has been placed on indefinite leave pending further legal proceedings.

In a statement, a company spokesperson said:

“We are aware of and closely reviewing the arrest of one of our pilots upon reporting for work at Boston’s Logan Airport Thursday evening due to an outstanding warrant.”

The airline has not provided further details about his employment status beyond the indefinite suspension.

Next Steps

Gudorf remains out on bail, but he must appear in North Carolina to address the charges.

Prosecutors have not yet disclosed whether additional legal actions will be pursued.

The case raises questions about background checks and monitoring of airline personnel, especially those with international travel responsibilities.

As authorities continue their investigation, Gudorf’s status with JetBlue and his legal future remain uncertain.
