Dr. Dre Sued by Former Marriage Counselor for Alleged Harassment and Threats

Hip-hop mogul Dr. Dre is facing legal trouble once again, this time from his former marriage counselor, Dr. Charles Sophy.

In a new lawsuit, Sophy alleges that Dre harassed and threatened him following the counseling sessions he conducted for Dre and his ex-wife, Nicole Young, during their highly publicized divorce. Sophy claims Dre’s threats escalated to the point where he fears for his safety.

Dr. Sophy, who initially served as a mediator and counselor during Dre’s divorce proceedings, asserts that the harassment began 14 months after the divorce was finalized.

According to the lawsuit, Dre became enraged after allegedly believing that Sophy leaked information to the media through a third party, accusing the therapist of “trashing” his reputation.

Sophy’s legal filing, which was first reported by TMZ, includes text messages that he claims were sent by Dre. In these messages, Dre allegedly used abusive language, referring to Sophy as a “btch” and a “piece of s**.” Dre also reportedly issued ominous threats, vowing to “make you pay for that.”

The situation allegedly escalated further when, according to Sophy, Dre sent individuals posing as FBI agents to his home to intimidate him.

Fearing for his life, Dr. Sophy now wears a bulletproof vest and has increased security measures at his home. He has filed a lawsuit seeking $10 million in damages for emotional distress, as well as a court order requiring Dre to stay at least 100 feet away from him at all times.

The lawsuit adds another chapter to Dre’s contentious legal history, which has often intersected with his high-profile personal life.

While Dre has not publicly commented on these new allegations, the case is poised to further complicate the aftermath of his already tumultuous divorce from Nicole Young.
