DreamFi, a new financial empowerment platform co-founded by prominent civil rights attorney Ben Crump, and Ben Crump Law have announced a nationwide partnership with the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc.

The partnership is aimed at strengthening community access to financial education and legal resources through faith-based institutions.

The collaboration, announced January 16, 2026, brings together financial technology, civil rights advocacy, and one of the largest African American religious organizations in the United States. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to economic empowerment, informed financial decision-making, and expanded access to legal guidance for congregants across the country.

Under the partnership, DreamFi will work with National Baptist Convention leadership throughout 2026 to engage churches and congregations in discussions on financial wellness, stewardship, and building generational wealth. DreamFi will have a presence at all four major National Baptist Convention gatherings this year, where members will be introduced to the platform as a tool for managing personal finances and planning for long-term stability.

DreamFi’s mobile platform offers a suite of financial services and consumer protections, including a no-minimum-balance checking account, access to a nationwide network of surcharge-free ATMs, savings on prescription medications and mobile services, and bundled protections such as term life insurance, cell phone coverage, telehealth access, and roadside assistance. Banking services are provided through FinWise Bank, a Member FDIC institution.

In a legal dimension central to the partnership, Ben Crump Law will serve as a resource for members of the National Baptist Convention who encounter civil rights violations or other legal concerns. While the firm will not provide pro bono representation through the initiative, the partnership offers access to legal information, guidance, and the opportunity to request consultations, reinforcing pathways to accountability and justice.

Crump said the collaboration recognizes the historic role churches have played in advancing civil rights and community stability.

“For generations, churches have been trusted anchors in our communities and have stood at the front lines of the fight for dignity, justice, and opportunity,” Crump said. “When communities are financially informed and legally supported, they are better positioned to grow, lead, and thrive.”

National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. President Dr. Boise Kimber emphasized that the partnership aligns with the organization’s mission of service and empowerment.

“Our churches have long served as trusted pillars in their communities,” Kimber said. “Working with DreamFi allows us to extend that support into financial education, helping families build stability, make informed decisions, and plan for future generations.”

Crump is scheduled to address attendees at the Convention’s first major gathering of 2026, focusing on economic dignity, access, and the role of faith institutions in supporting financial well-being.

For legal observers, the initiative represents a notable intersection of fintech innovation, civil rights advocacy, and faith-based community engagement—an approach that seeks to address economic inequity and legal vulnerability simultaneously.
