Kanye West And Bianca Censori Unite To File Malpractice Lawsuit Against Celebrity Dentist Over Alleged Laughing Gas Abuse and Fraudulent Billing

Rapper Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, have initiated legal action against Beverly Hills-based celebrity dentist Dr. Thomas Connelly, alleging a wide-ranging pattern of medical malpractice, including the improper administration of nitrous oxide, fraudulent billing practices, and the unsupervised use of the sedative propofol, according to a notice of intent to litigate filed by Golden Law.

The formal letter, signed by Golden Law President Andrew Cherkasky and delivered Wednesday, April 30, outlines a series of serious allegations against Connelly, who treated West between 2024 and early 2025.

During this time, Connelly allegedly performed several high-cost cosmetic procedures, including the placement of a titanium crown and other prosthodontic work, while enabling a pattern of unsupervised and dangerous drug use.

According to the letter, Connelly supplied West with large quantities of nitrous oxide — commonly known as “laughing gas” — and encouraged the artist to self-administer it without medical oversight.

The supplies allegedly included surgical-grade tanks and masks delivered to West’s personal residences, including the one he shared with Censori. The malpractice claim states that these practices persisted despite observable signs of neurological and behavioral impairment in West.

“Evidence shows that during the time Ye was under your care, you engaged in numerous inappropriate and dangerous practices that were far outside the bounds of any legitimate medical purpose or standard of care,” the letter reads. “These actions were not isolated incidents but rather part of a pattern of improper conduct.”

Censori, as West’s spouse, is noted in the filing as a witness to several of the incidents and was reportedly impacted by the alleged misconduct. Some episodes reportedly occurred in their shared home.

Among the most serious allegations is Connelly’s administration of the powerful anesthetic propofol in non-medical settings, including hotels. In one incident, the filing claims West was administered propofol and released without a proper evaluation of his condition, which resulted in urgent medical care.

The notice also accuses Connelly of administering controlled substances to West when he was in a diminished mental state, raising questions about informed consent.

Golden Law’s letter further accuses Connelly of extracting “exorbitant” fees from West, allegedly charging up to $50,000 per month, and reaching into the hundreds of thousands in total. The dentist is also accused of abandoning West as a patient without arranging follow-up care, detoxification, or referrals — despite West’s worsening dependency on nitrous oxide and deteriorating neurological condition.

Dr. Connelly, whose practice markets “luxury cosmetic dentistry for high-profile men,” has not issued a public response to the malpractice notice. A message sent to his office on Thursday, May 1, 2025, did not receive an immediate reply.

In August 2024, West’s on-again/off-again publicist Milo Yiannopoulos filed an affidavit with the California Dental Board alleging similar misconduct by Connelly, including deceptive business practices and fraudulent billing. He claimed Connelly delivered nitrous oxide tanks to Censori’s apartment and knowingly installed inferior materials while charging premium prices.

Yiannopoulos also accused the dentist of attempting to “diminish Ye’s mental faculties” to exploit his wealth — allegations Connelly’s office previously called “factually incorrect and intentionally misleading.”

West, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2016, has attracted media scrutiny for a series of erratic public behaviors. During the alleged period of malpractice, West appeared in a self-produced Super Bowl LIX ad shot from a dentist chair, sporting new diamond teeth and referencing the cost of his procedures. The day after the commercial aired, his Yeezy website featured a T-shirt labeled “HH-01” with a swastika design — prompting widespread condemnation.

Despite recent speculation that West and Censori had separated, the couple was spotted together in Spain this week. On Thursday, Yiannopoulos confirmed their reconciliation and ongoing marriage.

No civil complaint has yet been filed, but the letter of intent serves as a precursor to formal litigation. The allegations could lead to both civil liability and disciplinary proceedings before California’s dental regulatory board.
